Good news
This some good news, concerning both Iphone and Windows Phone, from an article from www.slashgear.com (Im being real lazy today :D)
“Intel has already struck a deal with Lenovo and Motorola for its smartphone chips, focusing the first batch on Android devices. Although Apple is unlikely to pick up Intel in lieu of its own proprietary A series processors, Intel isn’t ruling out iOS for its Medfield chips and says it’s been “talking to everybody.” Intel also considers Windows Phones, but says its a conscious decision at the moment to focus on Android….”
OS Platforms
Looks like Android is moving up, working with Intel on the upcoming Atom Smartphone, which brings the term “Smartphone” to the point where the phone truly is a “Smart” phoone. IOS is doing pretty good as well, as the infamous Iphone 5 is in the air and is yet again sturing up some well needed rumors of the look, but all is “said”. While (not because I have one) Windows Phone is moving up the rankings (not a bias statement), because (unlike the competitors) they are focused on getting the consumer a good and truly user-friendly phone. Rather then putting uout phones ust because they want to compete with each other…. HTC is feeling the same way, as stated in this article from www.intomobile.com later last year
“….Instead of releasing 80 different phones like it did in 2011, HTC is planning to scale back its handset portfolio significantly in 2012, with only a few key handsets launching in the beginning of the year….”
Galaxy Nexus Coming to Sprint
Well, looks like the exclusivity is about to end on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, as Sprint is set to launch the Google powered handset soon(we hope). The Sprint version will feature 4G LTE radio, which the carrier will be launching this year. Maybe we will hear something from T-mobile and AT&T to round out the rest of the top 4.
Sprint also announced two other LTE devices, the LG Viper, and the Sierra Wireless Tri-Network Hotspot. The Sierra Wireless Hotspot will run on Sprint’s 3G, 4G, and 4G LTE network, hence the name.
